WWW WEDNESDAY #36

Sam is currently hosting WWW Wednesday from Taking On A World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

The author Morgan Housel has worked on the New York journal’s column for economy. With his collective research knowledge, he has developed this book. His 20 research topic is the 20 chapters of this book. As I don’t have an economy or commerce major, I have difficulty understanding few technical words. Sometimes it feels like the author is making a simple fact into something big.. sometimes it feels like even such a small fact brings out a huge change.. so far I have one strong opinion that the author could’ve made certain things in simpler terms. 6th chapter reminds me of Pareto principle. 7th chapter is all good stuff for a happy healthy life but I don’t seem to find a continuation from previous chapter. However, 13 more chapters to go to conclude my thoughts on this book.

I bought this book purely out of a curiosity for the book title. I have started with the introduction of this book and it feels like simple psychological and social studies and explanations are way too technical for lay. No idea if I would understand or will have further interest to read.

Finished reading:

I haven’t finished reading any book this week.

Next on read list:

I have too many on my TBR list.. no idea what will be the next.

Follow up for future updates and reviews…

  1. I see the cover of Games People Play says it’s sold over 5 million copies. Based on your comments, I wonder how many of those who bought it managed to finish it!

  2. Interesting looking books. Games People Play has a catchy title and cover so it’s a shame that it’s not aimed at the every day folk.

    Have a great week!

    1. Yeahhh because of the catchy title I bought it with an expectation too.. it’s more theoretical of psychological terms of human interactions.. that’s how I felt so far.. let me review it properly if I finish that entire book..
