The process is straightforward: when an undesirable thought occupies the focal point of your mind, immediately replace it with an uplifting one. It’s as if your mind is a giant slide projector, with every thought in your mind being a slide. Whenever a negative slide comes up on the screen, take swift action to replace it with a positive one.
Read the above in a book called “the monk who sold his Ferrari”. This is an old book only. It’s been nearly 8 years since I was suggested to read this book. But I have started reading it recently only. The book has various insights to lead our life into betterment. Out of those insights, one thing stuck me the most.
Opposition thinking
Neither I was aware of the term nor the trick to get over negative thoughts. It sounds simple and interesting enough to try. Simply replacing our negative thoughts with a positive one is opposition thinking.
Since I read, I am trying to implement. I haven’t mastered yet. Hopefully in the future.
