Ignorance vs Innocence
Ignorance is a state of being uninformed about something.
Innocence is a character trait of a person who is morally pure and devoid of corrupt motives.
Not many understand the importance of differentiating innocence from ignorance. Innocence is an inherent part of a person whereas ignorance depends on the subject that person is unaware of.
Innocent people don’t harm or hurt their fellow people. Innocent people are pure at heart with moral intentions and values. Some people are innocent in all aspects of their lives (Ex: Forgiving and letting go of any wrong doers to them, inspite of their collateral damages). Some people are innocent in certain ways not entirely (not hurting anyone intentionally but deliberately tries even when they can’t just because they are wounded).
Ignorant people could possibly hurt a person when they aren’t aware. Ignorance is when a person doesn’t know a foreign language or to operate a machine or to use gadgets. Ignorance is far different from innocence. Every person can be ignorant of something as everyone can’t be aware of everything in the world. Every person learns a skill or up skills for their survival and they ignore the rest. That’s the human nature.
Some vicious ignorant people pretend to be innocent. You must be aware of such people in order not to fall for their false image which eventually leads to disappointment once you find. This will also lead to doubt every person and trust factor will be affected. In order to spot them, you must be aware of the clear differences between innocence and ignorance.
I learnt my lesson in a hard way to read, understand and differentiate ignorance from innocence. Now that you know the literal meaning and differences it holds, I hope that ability to differentiate will help you to be aware.
